Born in 1972 in Mahaboob Nagar, Andhra Pradesh, Mohammed Osman obtained his Bachelor’s degree in painting from JNTU College of Fine Arts, Hyderabad. His early experience as a muralist profoundly influenced his artistic style, characterized by a vibrant portrayal of rural life in southern India. Osman's paintings captivate with their depiction of women adorned with wide-open eyes and bold bindis, men with distinctive features, and animals adorned in festive attire. Renowned for his depiction of Gangireddu, the sacred bull adorned during the Pongal festival, Osman utilizes watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media to bring his compositions to life. His artwork, marked by a bold palette and strong painterly language, has been showcased in exhibitions across Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, as well as internationally in Birmingham and San Francisco. Osman's works grace private collections in India and abroad. Currently, the artist resides and creates in Hyderabad.
