Iruvan Karunakaran can be described as the artist for the common Indian citizen. He portrays images of common people tending to their daily routines, religious figures and temples. For the former subjects, he beautifully paints a mundane scene using contrast wherein the background is light, and the lines or subjects are painted with dark colours. For the latter subjects, however, the artist captures the energy and spirituality of temples and Gods.
The artist lives and works in Hyderabad, India.
