Born in 1982‐lakhana, (Etawha) U.P, India, Anumedha completed her MFA in painting from University of B.R.Ambedkar , Lalit Kala Sansthan, Agra in 2004. In 2019 she was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship for outstanding artist in the field of painting by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Acrylic onThe varied world of female body anatomy and the spiritual cosmos come together in the work of Anumeha Jain. An emerging abstract artist, Anumeha's practice embodies the idea of entropy. Her works exude the idea of disorder and chaos encouraging spontaneous accidents. They create a sensory impression of microscopic organic formations connecting tissues, nodes and neurons into a broad idea of the organic cellular formations of Follicles. For Anumeha, they represent the existence of both life and death in the same breath. However, she doesn't discard the scientific and biological concept of follicles in her works. Rather she finds such understanding as an inherent part of her feminine identification.
