How to view art online
At a time when all art is now virtual, here are some tips to keep in mind when looking at art online:
- Highest Brightness: Screens distort colour and texture so make sure your brightness is all the way up and blue light filter is turned off.
- Full Screen: Scale is different and difficult to experience through the screen. While viewing the work, let the painting fill the screen. Stand back as you would in a gallery and let the eye guide you through the work trying to experience the work as you would in a gallery.
- Research: We CANNOT stress this enough. Since there is no gallery personnel guiding you through your purchase, it’s a good idea to research the artist and their works before purchasing. Our gallery and artists are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
